The medium-pacer of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is truly an underdog. One of the most deceptive bowlers, he is still an uncapped player for the Indian team. Just as Jasprit Bumrah was given a chance considering his excellent IPL performances, the same privilege should be given to the pacer from SRH, who has been in an excellent form for quite some IPL seasons now.

A direct hand-to-hand comparison of the stats between Sandeep Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah is quite intriguing.

Sandeep Sharma:
Matches: 90
Wickets: 108
Average: 24.02
Economy: 7.75
Strike-rate: 18.6

Jasprit Bumrah:
Matches: 90
Wickets: 105
Average: 24.22
Economy: 7.46
Strike-rate: 19.4

Hailing as a young confident bowler, Sandeep Sharma even played a crucial role in SRH clash against MI, winning which SRH have qualified for the playoffs. Sharma took three wickets and conceded just 34 runs in his spell. Bumrah, who was rested by MI for the playoffs ahead, was dearly missed as MI bowlers failed even to scalp any SRH wicket.

Jasprit Bumrah and Sandeep Sharma both debuted in 2013 in IPL and featured in MI and KXIP respectively. Ever since then Bumrah has been playing for MI while Sharma is currently featuring in SRH.
