Cricket's association with Bollywood is a longstanding thing, as it is owing to this, the Indian cricket stars are given the platform of celebrities. And, when it comes to Bollywood celebrities, it is the so-called 'King' Shah Rukh Khan, who has time and again graced the sport with his association and presence.

While Shah Rukh is famous for owing Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League, besides also owing Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), he has quite often featured in ads related to the sport. Some of them even include fellow Indian cricketers.

Although Shah Rukh is yet to do a movie on the sport, the ads, he has featured in, has allowed cricket to acquire immense popularity in the nation. As he celebrates his 55th birthday on Tuesday, we take a look at five of his most incredible cricketing ads, that are worth watching, laughing and remembering.

Tension mat le yaar!
It was during the 2013 edition of the IPL when Shah Rukh presented an ad for Nokia, in association with KKR. He was seen enacting Daljeet Kaur, whose advise would help KKR in performing better. The ad also featured the likes of Jacques Kallis and Manoj Tiwary.

2003 World Cup inspiration
Shah Rukh was associated with aerated drinks brand Pepsi for a long time. It was in 2003 when he featured in an ad for the brand, where he was seen inspiring team India to perform to its fullest in South Africa. However, the inspiration came in one of the most unique and hilarious manners, while the ad also featured Bollywood hottie, Kareena Kapoor.

Clash of the Titans
It was in 2012 when the IPL teams also used to participate in a mini-tournament, called Champions League T20. As KKR were the defending champions of the edition, Shah Rukh presented the ad for official broadcasters Star Sports, while he cheered up for the teams and referred to them as titans, who were about to clash soon.

Sachin 'Shah Rukh' Tendulkar
It was in 1999 when India were participating in the ICC World Cup in England. In an ad for Pepsi, Shah Rukh implied that he would do anything to get the drink, as he mocked Sachin Tendulkar and entered the Indian dressing room, which had the likes of Rahul Dravid, Ajit Agarkar, Mohammad Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja. Mistaken for Tendulkar, he was asked to bat. What happened next? Watch it for yourself.

Swappies!
In 2007, after India won the ICC World T20 under the leadership of MS Dhoni, Videocon rolled out an ad, where Shah Rukh is seen as a cricketer, who happens to come across his long-lost celebrity brother and actor, MS Dhoni. Sounds confusing, right? Well, they did swap the roles for this ad, as you can even laugh it out if you watch it.
