Team India continues to bask in its glory following the heroics it pulled off against Australia in the just-concluded four-Test series and successfully retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Thus, it became the first Asian side to win consecutive Test series, Down Under.

To do so, Team India had to grind hard and overcome numerous adversities, including as many as nine injured players. While some debutants lived up to the expectations, some failed to make it to the playing XI.

Meanwhile, following the title win, stand-in skipper, Ajinkya Rahane delivered an inspiring speech to Team India in the dressing room. Besides giving credit to all the playing members of the team, he also motivated to non-playing members, like chinaman Kuldeep Yadav and rookie pacer, Kartik Tyagi.

“This is a massive moment for all of us. What happened in Adelaide, how we came back from Melbourne onwards was really good to see. Everyone did their effort, everyone contributed, it was not about one or two individuals,” he said in a video posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

“I just want to mention Kuldeep Yadav and Kartik Tyagi. Kuldeep, I know it was tough for you, you did not play a game here, but your attitude was really good. Your time will come, just keep working hard. Kartik, you were fantastic,” he added.
