While India has been inflicted with a series of injuries, Australia, too, has one of its own. Young opener Will Pucovski has suffered a shoulder injury and has been ruled out of the fourth and final Test for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, scheduled to be played in Brisbane from Friday.

As per cricket.com.au, Pucovski hurt his shoulder while fielding on the fifth day of the third Test, in Sydney, on Monday. He did not train at The Gabba and has been replaced by Marcus Harris in the playing XI for Friday.

"He tried to train this morning and didn't quite come up. He'll have a bit of work to do with our medicos to see where he goes from here, but he's obviously missing this Test match and Marcus Harris will replace him," said Paine.

"Harry's just a known (quantity) for us and a very good player. He's been working our backside off in our hub for a while now. He's had huge numbers in Sheffield Shield cricket and deserves the opportunity,' he added.

Harris has played nine Tests and featured in all the four Tests against India in 2018-19, while he had top-scored 79 in Sydney. So far, he has scored 385 runs at an average of 24.06, including twin half-centuries.

Australia XI for Brisbane: David Warner, Marcus Harris, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Matthew Wade, Cameron Green, Tim Paine (c & wk), Pat Cummins, Mitch Starc, Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood.
