IBM, Google, SAP and other big technology giants are underreporting their carbon footprint, claimed a recently released study conducted by researchers at the Technical University of Munich.
At a time when tight scrunity over role of large corporations in driving climate change persists, the research points out at inconsistencies in the way technology companies declare their greenhouse gas emissions.
The study, which focused on 56 tech companies, found that on average these corporations failed to disclose about half of their emissions.
