Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, who is on a 3-day visit to India called Prime Minister Narendra Modi an inspiration to the rest of the world for setting a target to provide clean water and renewable energy.
The two prime ministers held the bilateral talk at Hyderabad House in Delhi and discussed the ways to enhance the cooperation between the two democracies. On the occasion, both leaders witnessed the signing of seven MoUs.
Delivering the joint statement, Danish PM Frederiksen said that Prime Minister Modi is an inspiration for the rest of the world as he had set some very ambitious targets when it comes to providing clean water for over a million households and renewable energy.
Thanking Prime Minister Modi for accepted her invitation to visit Denmark, Frederiksen said that India and Denmark are two democratic nations that believe in an international system based on rules.
Prime Minister Modi expressed happiness over Denmark joining the International Solar Alliance and termed it a new dimension in the India-Denmark partnership.
Prime Minister Modi said that he reviewed the Green Strategic Partnership with his Danish counterpart and termed the cooperation between the countries in this field as a reflection of foresight and respect for the environment.
Th India-Denmark partnership shows how green growth can be achieved while preserving the environment through collective effort and technology, he said.
