The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 concluded last Friday, with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) winning its fourth title under the leadership of the legendary MS Dhoni. It was the 14th edition of the world most popular Twenty20 (T20) domestic tournament. However, the 15th edition is all set to expand. The IPL 2022 is set to possess a couple of new sides, as the bidding process for the same is already underway.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already floated tenders for the same, while some of the rich Indian business houses have already picked up the bid documents. However, the bid is not just limited to the Indian business houses. Manchester United owners, the Glazers, have reportedly expressed their interest in owning one of the IPL sides and have bought the bid documents.
