WhatsApp is rumoured to be planning the release of a slew of new features in the coming months. There is a lot in store for us, from cashback on WhatsApp payments to revamping group info pages.

According to a recent report, the Facebook-owned firm wants to encourage its customers to pay with WhatsApp. How will the cashback function operate now?

According to a screenshot supplied by WABetaInfo, the messaging giant would notify its users about the cash back perks. It's difficult to say who will be eligible for the cashback. Will it be limited to consumers who haven't used the services yet, or will it be available to all users?

A following feature is a group redesigning feature. Users will be able to create a group icon with this. The following product will allow customers to choose the icon's backdrop colour to give it a competitive advantage. Users may also customise it with an emoji or a sticker. When the functionality is made available to the public, users will need to go to the group details area and touch on the camera icon. After that, select emoji and stickers to make your group icon.

Another intriguing change revolves around "last seen." For a variety of reasons, many of us have deactivated the setting. Users will choose which contacts they wish to share or hide their last seen data within a forthcoming update. It will be accessible on both iOS and Android smartphones. An option will emerge under the privacy settings to list the contacts with whom you wish to share the last seen status.

Aside from the group icon modification tool, the messaging service is also introducing a feature that will enable users to report individual messages on WhatsApp rather than the whole conversation or group chat.

This is WhatsApp's attempt to reduce abusively and spam messages on the network, a major issue for the Facebook-owned platform. WABetaInfo, a WhatsApp tracker, spotted the feature in WhatsApp for iOS beta versions 2.21.190.12 and 2.21.190.11.
