As the world saw another double suicide bombing near Kabul airport, which killed 13 US soldiers and 72 Afghans, US President Joe Biden addressed the media, vowing to strike against the culprits. Biden delivered his statement from the White House, paying respect to the dead soldiers and emphasising the need of continuing the evacuation plan from Kabul until US forces are entirely evacuated as scheduled by August 31.

In response to Thursday's horrific incident, Biden stated that despite the tremendous threats, the US had evacuated over 100,000 individuals from Afghanistan in the previous several days."We can and must accomplish our job," Biden declared, adding, "Terrorists will not discourage us. We will carry forward with the evacuation."
