The Delhi Police has made adequate security arrangements across the borders of the national capital in view of the 'Bharat Bandh'.

The Special Cell of the Delhi Police arrested an ISIS operative from Ridge Road between Dhaula Kuan and Karol Bagh after brief exchange of fire on Friday night. Identified as Abu Yusuf aka Yusuf, the 36-year-old man who is said to have been in touch with ISIS commanders intended to carry out an attack on August 15, but failed to do so because of the tights security arrangements in the Delhi.

 A High Court advocate from Bengaluru has approached the election commission, asking them to cancel all the IPL matches and marathons that will be held Bengaluru. S Umesh, the advocate, says that he has information about candidates giving IPL match tickets to their supporters and also sponsoring events like marathons that will take place in the first week of May. Hence he has raised an objection and asked the CEC to cancel all events and cricket matches until May 12.
