PV Sindhu continues to be India's top badminton player while winning the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics and being India's sole medalist in the sport at the event, this term, proves it all. However, what would be she up to next?

On Tuesday evening, she arrived in India and was given a warm welcome, besides being felicitated by top politicians and hierarchies. Meanwhile, she conducted a virtual interaction session with the media on Wednesday, where she spoke on her next target, which appears to be the World Championships.

She said that there are a lot of international events lined up. While she would be going back to her regular practice sessions, she would look to continue playing well and give her best every time, as she aims to perform to the fullest at the World Championships.

While she also stated that the feeling of winning back-to-back medals at the Games is yet to sink in, she confirmed that she would be playing in Paris 2024 and would be giving her all. "It is yet to sink in, but I am enjoying the moment. It is a huge thing for me to win back-to-back medals at Olympics. I am sure it will inspire others and take sports to greater heights. I will play the 2024 Paris Olympics, but there is a lot of time," she added, reports PTI.

On being asked how much pressure was she under this time compared to the last time, she said, "2016 Olympics was very different, it was my first Olympics, there were no expectations. It was a medal to remember because it changed my life. This time there were a lot of expectations, and getting a bronze is again different. So, there was a lot more pressure this time."
