- Kohli celebrated his 28th birthday on Saturday in Rajkot.
- Like any other Indian player, even Kohli was not spared by his teammates during cake cutting.
- Kohli-led India will face England in the first Test, starting November 9.
Kohli cut two cakes with one of the cakes being a photo cake with a picture of a cricket ground on it. It like is a ritual in the Indian team of not sparing the player on his birthday!
It is a young Indian team and the likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Hardik Pandya, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma and others 'creamed' their captain with the cake.
While the youngsters had a blast troubling the birthday boy, coach Anil Kumble stood aside and had a great laugh.
Team India arrived in Rajkot on Saturday and they will lock horns with England in the first Test at Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) Stadium, starting Wednesday.
England and India are set to play a five-Test series and the other four matches will be hosted by Vishakapatnam, Mohali, Mumbai and Chennai. The Test series will be followed by three ODIs and three T20Is.
India is all set to host a five-Test series after 29 long years. The last time India hosted a five-Test series was in 1987 when Pakistan toured India.
