Chennai Super Kings have managed to get a few players on the right track, and some are in great form. This will be highly effective as they move into the Playoffs. 

 

Chennai Super Kings sit at the 2nd position on the points table and with a comprehensive win against KXIP have secured their position in the Playoffs this season. Heading into the Playoffs, CSK seems to have fixed the trouble they were having with their bowling side.

 

CSK have managed to get some exciting tricks up their sleeve. Let's have a look at the positives of Chennai Super Kings that might get them an inch closer to lifting the trophy this season. 

 

1. Suresh Raina is back in form

Suresh Raina's comeback at the T20 format in the Indian Premier League this season has been noticed, and he has been able to put up a pretty good and consistent performance this year. He has scored 330 runs this season with an average of 33  at a strike rate of 131.47. 

 

He has played an essential role in getting CSK  through the Playoffs into the finals in the past seasons of 2010-11, his last knock against Kings XI Punjab with a 61 not out from 48 balls will propel him into the  Playoffs with a new confidence and his role in the squad will play a vital role in the games to come.

Deepak Charhar has taken the Indian Premier League by storm and surprise. The young Indian fast bowler has managed to pick up eight wickets in the 9 games with an average of 24 this season and has added a new zing to the team. He has not just proven himself with the bowling, but also with the batting. In the last game against KXIP, he was pushed up the order to bag some quick runs for the team. He hit a whopping 39 runs from 20 balls with 3 sixes and 1 four. 

 

3. Lungi Ngidi with the ball

The South African fast bowler was picked up by CSK after his performance at the Indo-South African series. He initially was benched this IPL for the first few matches and then later had to return home for personal reasons. He has played 5 matches this season picking up 9 wickets with a best of  4/10 against KXIP. 

 

Ngidi's good form combined with his ability to get good bounce and pace despite a slow wicket will come handy against SRH in Mumbai.

Ambati Rayudu has crossed the 500 run mark this Saturday and has shown some serious consistency this season. CSK coach Stephen Fleming said that he was one of the vital reason the team is at the top of the table. Rayudu scored a 61 ball century this season with 4 sixes and four 4s against SRH. He will be playing a vital role in the Playoffs this season.
