Tokyo Olympics: Manu Bhaker placed fifth in 25m pistol qualification, Rahi Sarnobat at 18th

The Indian shooting is seemingly performing better in the latter stages of the Tokyo Olympics 2020. In the qualifiers of the women's 25m pistol, Manu Bhaker finished fifth, while Rahi Sarnobat was placed 18th after the opening round of the same.

The Tokyo Olympics saw the Indian shooters continuing with their stint, while they seem to have recovered from their shaky start. Currently, the women's 25m pistol qualification is underway, as Manu Bhaker and Rahi Sarnobat perform reasonably well.

Bhaker was placed fifth, as she scored 292 points with an average of 9.733 following 30 shots in the precision round. Meanwhile, Sarnobat gathered 287 points.

Rahi started in the first of the ten shooters, as she shot 96 and 97, only to drop to 94 in the final series with eights and nines. She totalled 287 out of the perfect 300, as she was placed seventh in the relay.

Meanwhile, in the third relay, Bhaker shot 97 on consecutive occasions in the first couple of series, while she shot 98 in the third with a couple of nines, as she soared to fifth place. The second stage of the same (rapid round) would be held on Friday, while Zorana Arunovic of Serbia leads with 296 points and Anna Korakaki of Greece follows her with 294 points.
