In what was somewhat a tough day for the Indian shooters, there seemed to remain a glimpse of hope in the Men's Skeet Shooting event. On Sunday, Angad Bajwa appeared to be in a pretty good position to seal his spot in the event's finals.

He was placed 11th on Sunday, having missed just a couple of the 75 shots he attempted. At the end of the first three rounds, Bajwa had scored 25, 24, 24, while he would look to seal his finals spot on Monday in the final two rounds.

Also, Bajwa had compatriot Mairaj Ahmad Khan, who shot 71 and was placed 25th. The skeet shooting happens to be the only section in shooting where Indians are in contention, while in all the other categories, the Indians failed to make it to the finals. The finals of the skeet shooting would be held at 12.20 PM IST on Monday.

On Sunday, Deepak Kumar and Divyansh Singh Panwar failed to make it to the final of the Men's 10m Air Rifle. Meanwhile, in the Women's 10m Air Pistol Qualification, Manu Bhaker and Yashaswini Singh Deswal also underperformed.
