But things are looking bleak at the moment as BCCI is in a state of total chaos after Board president Anurag Thakur and secretary Ajay Shirke was sacked by Supreme Court on Monday.

Supreme Court had stated that the vice presidents of BCCI will run the state of affairs for the time being until a new president is ready to be on the hot seat. But if one actually goes by the Lodha Panel recommendations, even the vice presidents are not eligible to act as the interim presidents.

According to the Apex Court, all the state associations will have to abide by the recommendations suggested by the Lodha Committee. If that is the case, then most of the senior state officials will not be able to operate.
When it comes to hosting a match, the state associations have to be on their toes until the match gets over. Looking at the current scenario with BCCI and all the state associations in chaos, the India vs England ODI and T20 series might get cancelled as well.

England are supposed to take on India A in two warm up games on January 10 and 12 in Mumbai. The first ODI of the three-match series is supposed to be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on January 15. Now the heads of the two governing bodies, Sharad Pawar and Shirke, are not in command.

The Indian cricket fans are looking forward to this limited over series with MS Dhoni returning at the helm of the team. If the India vs England series gets cancelled because of the BCCI vs Lodha battle, it will indeed be a sad day for Indian cricket as well as for its fans.
