Mithali Raj becomes the first women cricketer to score 2000 in T20Is

Yes, former Indian women cricket team captain and one of India's most talented cricketers, Mithali Raj, recently unlocked an achievement in her career which has not been touched by any Indian woman cricketer before.

Mithali Raj now holds the record of being the first Indian cricketer to score 2000 runs in a T20I tournament. This Indian ODI record was achieved during the Asia Cup match against Sri Lanka on Thursday (June 7) in Kuala Lumpur. With 14 centuries and an average of 38.1, she managed to score 2015 runs in 74 T20I matches.

After India lost the previous match against Bangladesh, now India beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets. Before Mithali unlocked this achievement, only a few female cricketers have been able to achieve this score, including Charlotte Edwards - 2,605,  Stafanie Taylor - 2,582 and Suzie Bates - 2,515.

Twitter was flooded with wishes for Mithali from many celebrities. Here are some.
