Meanwhile, according to a report by Marca, the Catalan could be willing to sell its star French striker Antoine Griezmann, who has been somewhat shaky at Camp Nou. Furthermore, his sale could generate enough funds to allow Messi to stay, besides helping the club pursue Norwegian wonderkid Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.

However, the report adds that if Messi decides not to extend his stay, Barca will hold off from selling Griezmann. Overall, it all depends on Messi, as he is likely to take the final call on his Camp Nou future in the coming days, following the conclusion of the ongoing La Liga season this weekend.
