Bengaluru: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are all set to take on their opponents in the 12th season of IPL in a bid for their main title. Do they now possess the complete squad to lift the elusive cup?

RCB will set the ball rolling for IPL 2019 in the inaugural matches as they take on the Chennai Super Kings in Chennai on March 23.

RCB are known to be the entertainers of the IPL attracting a huge fanbase, but everyone knows that they mean business, from making remarkable comebacks to coming dangerously close to winning the title in previous edition, everyone knows that they are a force to reckon with.

Perhaps, the lack of consistency was overshadowed by sparks of brilliance from the star power and this could possibly be the reason for memorable performances but no titles.

If there is one thing that all teams of IPL have learned is that a star-studded squad does not mean that the team will have a feather in their cap.

Having said that, without Gayle last season and McCullum this time around, the RCB squad might not look as spectacular as it did previously, but could this also mean that the team seems to be more balanced?

Of course, there is still a lot of star power with Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers in the side. RCB fans will certainly look for more catches in the stands when these two go out to bat.

Also, it will be interesting to see for a difference in approach with Gary Kirsten taking over from Daniel Vettori as head coach of the RCB squad.

Here is the complete squad of RCB:
Virat Kohli (Captain), AB de Villiers, Parthiv Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Kulwant Khejroliya, Washington Sundar, Pawan Negi, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Moeen Ali, Mohammed Siraj, Colin de Grandhomme, Shimron Hetmyer, Devdutt Padikkal, Shivam Dube, Heinrich Klassen, Gurkeerat Singh, Himmat Singh, Prayas Ray Barman, Mandeep Singh.

Head coach: Garry Kristen

Fielding coach: Trent Woodhill
