Bengaluru: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to release the complete schedule of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 before March 18.

The dates of the matches for the 12th edition of the cash-rich Twenty20 tournament were announced last month. However, it was only a two-week schedule from March 23 to April 5. This was due to the general elections.

Now that the Lok Sabha election dates are out with the polls being held in seven phases, the BCCI will soon finalise the remaining schedule of the IPL.

Lok Sabha elections will be held from April 11 to May 19. Many states will hold elections in two phases. In Karnataka, first phase of elections will be held on April 18 and second phase is on April 23. Apart from these two dates, IPL matches will be held in Bengaluru.

According to currently published IPL schedule, Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on current champions Chennai Super Kings in the inaugural match on March 23 at 8 PM in Chennai.

Bengaluru will host its first match on March 28 at 8 PM with RCB facing Mumbai Indians.
