As India blanks Zimbabwe, coach Ntini searches for nearest tree

Zimbabwe coach Makhaya Ntini must immediately start looking for a sturdy tomato plant to hang himself from.
 

Having expressed a desire to suspend himself from said tree after his team's dismal show in the first two ODIs against India, Ntini was given several more reasons by his boys to end his life on Wednesday.
 

Batting first again - this time by choice - Zimbabwe lost 8 wickets for 34 runs, collapsing from 89 for two to 123 all out in 13.4 overs, including a shocking phase that saw them lose four wickets in four balls.

This paltry 123 followed the equally insipid efforts of 168 and 126 in the first two games.

The measly Jasprit Bumrah was in fine fettle again, returning 10-1-22-4, while spinner Axar patel was even more parsimonious, netting 10-2-16-1.

 

PS: India won by 10 wickets - with debutant opener Faiz Fazal hammering 55 not out and Lokesh Rahul contributing 63 not out - and took the series 3-0.
