India vs England 3rd ODI: Virat Kohli's possible XI

Although the 3rd ODI between India and England is going to be a dead rubber game but Virat Kohli would want to go for full Monty and hand the visitors a 3-0 whitewash at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

In the first two ODIs England have let India go past the 350-run mark pretty easily from 63/4 and 25/3 respectively. Kohli and co. have shown their prowesses with their willows and they would want to keep it that way in the third and final ODI of the series as well.

However, India have had few issues with their bowling and fielding. But it is highly unlikely that Kohli is going to make any changes to his side apart from one. Shikhar Dhawan rushed to the Apollo Hospitals in Kolkata right after landing at the airport to diagnose a sore finger. The reports are claiming that it is not serious but he might just miss Sunday’s match.

It should not be a problem either for Kohli as Dhawan has been out of form in the ongoing series and he can afford to make way for Ajinkya Rahane or Manish Pandey at the top of the order. Looking at the composition of the team, Rahane is likely to get the nod if Dhawan misses through injury. Rest of the team is likely to remain the same.

The wicket at the Eden Gardens will be taken into consideration by Kohli. If it ends up being a slow track then he might just opt for Amit Mishra as well in the lineup but that too is unlikely to happen.
