PR Kandrika was rated as the best village under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana in various parameters fixed by the central government.

Sachin had first visited the village on the same day two years ago and had laid the foundation stone for various development works. Incidentally, it was on the same day in 2013 when the legend formally retired from cricket.
