The former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly recently received a death threat. Yes, you read that correctly, the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) received a death threat. A guy from Midnapore, Zed Alam, actually had the guts to send a death threat through a letter. The guy even got it posted to Ganguly’s Behala residence in Kolkata.

Very few people know what actually was said in that letter. Shockingly, the letter was addressed to Ganguly’s mother asking her not send her son to attend the sports event of Vidyasagar University in Midnapore on January 19. In case he does, he will not return alive said the letter from Alam.

Subsequently, Ganguly cancelled his visit to the event. However, the former Indian captain has not filed a complaint with the police.

The letter had disturbing pictures of dead people as well. It said that a guy from CAB, Ashish Chakraborty, who has taken a lot of money from the people in that village, promising to offer jobs, did not offer any in reality. Alam demanded a CBI or CID level inquiry as well.
