A brace of goals by Antoine Griezmann powered France into the final of the European Championships following a 2-0 victory over Germany on Thursday evening.

Griezmann put the hosts ahead with a penalty just before half time and struck again after the break --- his sixth goal of the tournament -- to give France a strong lead over the World Champions.
Germany looked affected by the lack of Mario Gomez, Mats Hummels and Sami Khedira in the semifinal and were jolted when Bastian Schweinsteiger handled the ball to allow France a penalty, which was coolly slotted past Manuel Neuer by Griezmann.
Although Germany had the best of possession, the second goal -- 18 minutes from full time -- sealed the deal for France before a raucous aggregation of home fans.
Didier Deschamps' side will take on Portugal in Sunday's final.
