Cristiano Ronaldo pushing for Manchester City move?
Cristiano Ronaldo is seemingly playing his final season with Juventus. Meanwhile, reports suggest that he could move back to Manchester but join City instead of United.
Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo is more or less playing his final season at Juventus. Meanwhile, multiple reports suggest that he is likely to move to French giant Paris Saint-Germain to play alongside Argentine superstar Lionel Messi.
However, as per French outlet L'Equipe, Ronaldo could move back to Manchester but join City instead of his former club United, as he is looking to force a move through. Although there are still six days before the summer transfer window closes, Ronaldo is willing to see this season out in Turin.
Ronaldo was recently left out of the starting XI of Juventus's opening clash against Udinese. Although he was subbed on in the second half, with 30 minutes to play for, his winner in the game's closing stages was ruled out by the Video Assistant Referee for offside.

Consequently, it has fuelled speculations that Ronaldo could be considering a way out of Turin, which could force him to move to the blue side of Manchester. Furthermore, multiple reports had suggested that Ronaldo was reluctant to start the game, eventually before being clarified by club manager Massimiliano Allegri that it was a tactical call by him to have the Portuguese on the bench initially.
Ronaldo's link with City certainly comes as a shock, considering his legacy and loyalty to United. Although United would love to have its talisman back, his monumental pay could be a stumbling block, which might not be the case with City.
City is in desperate need of a striker following the departure of club legend Sergio Aguero. While club manager Pepe Guardiola has eyes Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane reportedly as his ideal replacement, with the Englishman showing the slightest interest, the former might be forced to switch his attention to the Portuguese.
