20-year-old Muslim girl makes it to Indian cricket team
- Nuzhat Parveen is the first girl from MP's Rewa division to get selected in the Indian cricket team.
- She is set to make her debut in the upcoming T20I series vs West Indies.
- Wicketkeeper Nuzhat has also been selected for the Asia Cup.
She became the first woman from Madhya Pradesh's Rewa division to get into international cricket.

India women face West Indies in a three-T20I series, starting November 18. Nuzhat could make her India debut in the first match.

Besides, the promising cricketer was also selected as wicketkeeper for the Asia Cup beginning November 27.

The wicketkeeper received the news of her selection through e-mail on October 29.

"I had no interest in cricket five years back, but Divisional Cricket Association (DCA) has inspired me to dream big like every cricketer," Nuzhat told PTI.

Besides her parents and brothers who are based in abroad, Nuzhat gives credit for her success to woman cricketer, Haripriya Das, who guided her through her journey.

Nuzhat's father is posted in Northern Coalfield Limited (NCL) at Singraul, while she is an employee of Railways.

DCA Secretary Vijayanand Jaiswal has informed that Nuzhat was also a member of Under-19 MP women's team and she performed well during MP Cricket Association (MPCA) T20 tournament, following which the BCCI selected her for the Indian women national team.
