If you are a cinephile looking for a masterpiece but don't know where to find it, the Thrissur Chalachitra Kendram should be a one-stop destination, as the place will soon flaunt a collection of 5000 greatest movies of all time.

"The centre is known for arranging the best facilities for watching classics. Once the digital system is in place, 550 members including delegates can enjoy the facility. With the help of educational institutions and organisations, the centre is also planning to conduct shows at various places in the district,"  Chalachitra Kendram director Cherian Joseph told Mathrubhumi.

Apart from this, the centre is trying to get film DVDs of other languages and collect DVDs from members, Chalachitra Academy and from other sources to expand its collection.

The centre is providing audience a rare chance to view movies that won acclaim in international film festivals held in Kerala, Kolkata and Goa. Once the digital library becomes functional it would enhance this facility.
