Woman injured while go-karting in Bengaluru; files complaint against supervisor
Accidents can occur any time. Despite wearing headgear, a homemaker in Bengaluru, who was go-karting is hospitalised due to injuries.
Bengaluru: A 31-year-old woman, who sustained head injuries while go-karting inside E-zone Club, on Outer Ring Road near Marathahalli, has lodged a police complaint. The incident took place on Sunday (June 16) evening.
A Pushpalatha, a resident of B Narayanapura, has sought action against the supervisor of Torq03 Sports – whose go-karting services she used.
The HAL Police have registered a case against the supervisor based on her complaint.
The police reportedly said that Pushpalatha had worn a headgear, which gave way after the first round. Once the headgear came off, her hair got entangled in it and got pulled into the rear wheel, dragging her back and causing injuries. The police have registered a case under Section 338 – causing grievous hurt by act of endangering life of personal safety of others – of the Indian Penal Code.
According to police, the incident would have taken place at around 7.30 pm on Sunday.
A police officer reportedly said that they have summoned the supervisor of Torq03 Sports to record his statement and verify if there was any negligence from his end that led to the incident.
An official Sakra World Hospital, where Pushpalatha is being treated said that she has a cut on her scalp at the back of her head. They also said that they have treated it with skin grafting. According to them she is recovering well and will possibly be discharged on Thursday (June 20).
TOI reports state that when they contacted the representatives from Torq03 Sports, they said that Pushpalatha has not filed a case against them. When informed about the FIR that has been registered, they informed that they will check and get back. But there has been no response so far, according to TOI.
