Metro work under progress in Jayadeva Flyover; Bengaluru motorists to take alternate routes

Bengaluru: Commuters in the city will have to take diversions and different routes to reach destinations due to the metro work that is under progress in certain areas. The Loop Flyover from Bannerghatta Road towards Central Silk Board will be closed for traffic from July 15 as the metro construction of Reach-5 Line of Phase-2 is under progress in Jayadeva Flyover junction.

There are two diversion plans approved by traffic police for movement from Bannerghatta Road to Central Silk Board Junction. Traffic will have to take a left turn at JD Mara Junction and 9th Cross Road, then take a right turn to East End Main Road. The commuters will have to then take a right turn at Marenahalli Main Road to reach Central Silk Board.

An alternate route for commuters from Bannerghatta to Central Silk Board will require them to take a right turn at 6th Cross Junction via 29th Main Road, then take a left turn at the 6th Main Road followed by a right turn at Marenahalli Road to enter Central Silk Board.

For traffic moving from Central Silk Board towards Bannerghatta Road, commuters will have to turn left at 29th Main Road and then take left at 7th Cross Road to reach Bannerghatta Road.

There is no change in the traffic movement at Jayadeva Underpass on both ways.

The traffic movement over the flyover along Outer Ring Road while travelling from Banashankari to Central Silk Board will also have no changes. Traffic will move as usual.

The details were released by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) in a press release on July 10. The document has been signed by the chief public relations officer Yashavanth Chavan.
