Bengaluru: A youth in Bengaluru was stabbed by his friend late Sunday night for shoving him citing that he has bad breath. The man’s brother who rushed to his help was stabbed by the friend too. The incident took place at Mavalli in Kalasipalyam.

The brothers -- Shoaib Pasha, 23, and Shahid Pasha, 21, residents of Wilson Garden were treated at a private hospital. They are out of danger, as per reports.

Kalasipalyam Police reportedly said that they arrested Nabi alias Balli for stabbing the brothers. He is a resident of Siddapura and an employee at an automobile accessories shop.

The incident took place at 11:45 pm when Shoaib was riding bike on LBF Road, opposite Mavalli Masjid Road, reports stated. Shoaib reportedly noticed that Nabi stopped his bike to wish him.

Police reportedly said that both greeted each other. When Nabi tried to hug him, Shoaib pushed him away due to bad breath. Nabi got angry over Shoaib’s gesture and abused him. The friends got into a heated argument which led to Nabi stabbing Shoaib in the stomach. Shoaib called his brother for help. His brother rushed to the spot and was also stabbed by Nabi who fled the scene after the incident, reports said.

A case of attempt to murder was registered under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Nabi after Shoaib registered a complaint. The cops reportedly arrested Nabi on Tuesday and brought him before the court who remanded him to judicial custody.
