What Sagacity Brings To Accenture
Sagacity, founded in 2005, specializes in customer data analysis, an area Accenture is looking to strengthen as businesses increasingly use artificial intelligence (AI) to manage customer relationships.
The acquisition adds more than 140 specialists to Accenture Song's UK and Ireland operations, along with Sagacity's data and analytics technology.
Accenture is focusing particularly on utilities, retailers, banks and telecommunications companies, where large customer bases and complex service operations create demand for better customer insights.
For these businesses, the technology could help identify customer needs, improve service delivery and support customer retention. Accenture plans to combine Sagacity's capabilities with its existing technology and customer operations services.
How The Deal Fits Accenture's Acquisition Strategy
The transaction follows a year of significant acquisition spending at Accenture as the company expands its capabilities in AI, cybersecurity, and other technology services.

In its fiscal fourth-quarter (Q4) results released on Oct. 1, Accenture reported full-year revenue of $74.2 billion, up 6% in U.S. dollars and 5% in local currency. Annual new bookings reached $84.5 billion.
The company forecast fiscal 2027 revenue growth of 3% to 6% in local currency. Accenture is scheduled to hold its Investor Day on Oct. 14, providing investors with an opportunity to assess its broader growth and investment strategy.
