Poet Raj Rathod speaks about his love for Hindi literature and his much-awaited Bollywood dream

We often see a cheerful face in a song, play, drama or a movie. But behind it is a team of hardworking people who actually make it happen. Writers are one of those integral teams who can touch people’s heart merely by their words.

One of the most profound writers named Raj Rathod has left everyone impressed with his extraordinary writing skills. He is a story writer, a poet and a lyricist who has a flair of writing heart-touching lyrics for ghazals and songs. It was in class 6 when Raj found his love for writing. 

His writing was highly appreciated by all the students as well as teachers in school. The journey of writing continued since then which he is doing until now. His way of writing is simple yet relatable and he believes that every writer posses great thinking capabilities which are reflected in their writing. For his compositions and writings, he says, “Hindi literature is something which has always inspired me. It connects to the audiences; be it a poem, song or a scene for that matter.“ 

This year, Raj has written many songs, ghazals as well as poems. He considers the song tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh as his best works so far. His love for Hindi literature blossomed by reading books of different authors. “Every author has a particular writing style. However, I admired the writings of Munshi Premchand. With time, the taste of the people have changed but according to me, some many readers and viewers are old-school ardent fans now as well“, he added. 

By his writings, Raj Rathod has managed to convey a deep message covering different genres. He has a dream of working in Bollywood as a writer and a lyricist. Rathod is very keen on working with musical maestro A.R. Rahman. “It is my dream to pen down lyrics for Rahman sir’s songs. Till date, he has given many iconic songs which are everyone’s favourite“, quoted Raj. Well, this young guy from Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh has surely made a place in people’s heart with his excellent writing skills. We wish to see Raj Rathod chasing his Bollywood dream soon.
