A Keralite woman is battling for life after allegedly jumping off the terrace of her four-storey PG accommodation in Bengaluru on Sunday.

Linet Andrews (32), who hails from Kannur, was found unconscious in a pool of blood in an apartment complex next to her PG near Madiwala at 3 am on Sunday. The apartment's security staff found the woman and rushed her to a nearby hospital.

Linet, a Mico Bosch employee, has suffered severe injuries to her body and remains unconscious in the ICU. The doctors said her condition is still critical, according to reports.

The police suspect Linet jumped off the building as she was suffering from depression ever since the death of her husband around a year ago. They have filed a case and the probe is on.

Linet was staying at the second floor of the PG along with her younger sister, who works as a nurse at a private hospital. The sister was out on duty when the incident occurred.

Linet was married to a psychiatrist, who was working with a private hospital in Bengaluru. He died of cardiac arrest a year ago, following which Linet went into acute depression. She had earlier disclosed her intentions to commit suicide to her sister, who counselled her against taking the extreme step.
