Kerala ministers visit 'insulted' Sringeri Math chief
- Sringeri Math chief Swami was in Alappuzha as a guest of state government
- Swami gave three apples, one each for ministers and one for Chief Minister
- He was given a grand send-off with Police Guard of Honour
A day after controversies regarding a minister removing the chair arranged for Sringeri Math head, two other state ministers visited the seer. Kerala PWD Minister G Sudhakaran and Finance Minister Thomas Issac met Sri Bharati Tirtha Swamy on Thursday.
The ministers sought darshan during Swami's visit to Alappuzha SDV Centenary Hall. Sudhakaran and Issac reached the venue much earlier and waited for the pontiff and were the first to get his darshan.
Swami's secretary felicitated the ministers with ponnada, and they offered fruits to the chief.
