Kerala government Senkumar kAT appointment

Kerala government received another set back in an issue with former DGP Senkumar after the IPS officer approached High Court. Senkumar moved court challenging government's dissent note against his selection as a member of Kerala Administrative Tribunal (KAT).

The High Court asked the authorities to go forward with the procedures of Senkumar's appointment.

A high-level committee headed by High Court Chief Justice had recommended the names of Senkumar and IAS officer Somasundaram for the vacancies in KAT in October 2016. The officer moved court after government sat on the order for several months even after court, in October, asked to send the list to Governor within two weeks.

The court will consider the case after three weeks.
