Yoga has saved thousands of men and women from unbelievable conditions. A government employee displayed yoga skills in water for 3 hours. Yoga cured his asthma and got him hooked.

Prema Gudadinni (35) of Muddebihala, was suffering from epilepsy in 2000. First she prayed to god, visiting temples and making offering. But it did not heal her from falling due to attacks at odd places.  In 5 years she lost sight in one eye and hearing. Then her nostrils closed and it was very difficult for her to breath.  She thought her death had neared. AS a last resort she went to see Dr R R Padaki, who advised her to resort to yoga.

 

 

Prema watched Baba Ramdev’s yoga classes on TV and learnt. Rigorous practice made her master all 73 asanas. Gradually her eyesight improved. Even her hearing returned. Pranayama helped her breath normally.  After 12 years Prema Gudadinni is hale and healthy and is teaching yoga to batches of 200.

Raju S Petakara, from Haveri, personal assistant to MP, is an expert yoga practitioner.  He showcased his skill on Tuesday, in preparation for the Yoga Day, by doing yoga exercises in water for 3 hours.

Vamana Ramachandra Gaonkar (75), a retired teacher, has conducted over 5000 yoga camps free of charges. He started learning yoga when somebody suggested it to cure his asthma. It worked. After mastering yoga, he started teaching it to students for free. Till now, he has conducted over 5000 free yoga camps.
