BJP IT Cell Karnataka was trolled for a wrong picture they put out on Bengaluru The picture, with cratered roads, was claimed to be that of Bengaluru but was originally taken in Maharashtra The BJP IT Cell was recently asked to work like the team that brought the party to power in Uttar Pradesh
The BJP IT Cell in Karnataka has caught itself on the wrong foot in a bid to criticise the Siddaramaiah government. The Twitter handle of the BJP IT Cell Karnataka has angered Twitterati by posting a picture of a crater-full road, claiming it to be from Bengaluru, and criticising the Congress-ruled government for the state of the road. The caption said - "NASA found people walking on the road and BBMP confirmed it as Bengaluru."

But as was soon discovered, the photo was originally published in the by citizen reporter Vaishali Ghawate on August 3, 2017, highlighting the condition of a road in Airoli, Maharashtra.
All this seems to be the result of BJP leaders giving a clarion call to have digital soldiers boost their digital presence in the state ahead of the polls in the state next year. But this attempt has not gone well with the Twitterati. Politically, IT and Tourism Minister, Priyank Kharge, has dared the BJP IT Cell Karnataka to prove that this road was found in Bengaluru or tender an apology for "misleading the public".
Shame on BJP IT Cell for posting fake messages
