Why did Eshwarappa stay away from party executive meeting?

For, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council KS Eshwarappa stayed away from the party meeting convened to discuss strategies for digital boost to the party here on Sunday. Not just that Eshwarappa also stayed away from the executive committee meeting attended by the senior party leaders like Yeddyurappa, Jagadish Shettar, Shobha Karandlaje, DV Sadananda Gowda and others. At a time when the party is putting up a united fight to counter Congress in the upcoming elections, Eshwarappa's absence has created quite a flutter.
But Eshwrappa was quick to refute these allegations. He told mediapersons in Shivamogga that he could not attend the party meeting as he had a special puja as part of 'Shravana' month at his home in Shivamogga, reports Kannada Prabha.
"Every second Sunday of Shravana month, we organise special puja at home. Hence, I could not participate in the meeting," reports Kannada Prabha quoting Eshwarappa. "I had informed the leaders. If you want to draw pleasure in reporting my absence for the party meeting, I have no objection," he told mediapersons wryly.
It may be recalled here that Eshwarappa had openly criticised Yeddyurappa when he inducted a few office-bearers without consulting anyone. Later, Eshwarappa's association with Sangolli Rayanna Brigade had caused a huge rift between Eshwarappa and Yeddyurappa.
