Do some Bengaluru colleges favour the RSS? The Congress wants a list them

Why Congress is seeking list of colleges favouring RSS ABVP

AICC general secretary and in-charge of Karnataka KC Venugopal has asked the State Youth Congress and Student Congress members to prepare a list of Pro-RSS and ABVP colleges and principals in the State.

He has assured action after the list is handed over to him. He was responding to complaints by Youth Congress members, who claimed that several colleges and educational institutions did not permit them to enter their premises for meetings in the city.

The matter began after Venugopal instructed office-bearers of the Youth Congress and Student Congress to reach out to every college actively. When he questioned them why it was not being done, members answered that they were not permitted to enter the premises and it was difficult to reach students. 

To counter the BJP, the Congress plans to host 'anti-Modi' streetplays near colleges, reports Kannada Prabha. Venugopal also suggested Pada Yatra across the State by Kisan-Khet-Mazdoor Congress to create awareness among the farmers about the "injustices vetted to them". 

It was also decided at the meeting to convene a mammoth convention of the Women Congress shortly and invite AICC president Sonia Gandhi to inaugurate the same. Also the centenary celebrations of Indira Gandhi will be held at Chikkamagaluru, the spot which a political rebirth to the late former prime minister.
