- The pro-people projects of the Congress government has crashed BJP’s confidence said Minister D K Shivakumar.
“Party is above any individual. Hence Jarkiholi brothers must put aside their differences and focus on strengthening the Party” is the advice given by Congress in-charge for State K C Venugopal, reported Kannada Prabha.
He said this at the inauguration of Door to Door Congress campaign on Sunday. "There are able leaders in the district but everybody should set aside their personal differences and work for the Party. Each one must realise that without the party, the individual is a zero. Ticket allotment will be decided by the high command. Congress is not a personal property of anybody. Those who work for the Party, those who will win will be recognised and tickets allotted," he advised. When he stated this, the Jarkoholi brothers were present on the dais.
Venugopal also said the BJP is instigating religious intolerance for its own benefit. But the State Government has been a model to the entire country. It has drawn up projects for the welfare of the poor and implemented them at great speed, he said.
Minister D K Shivakumar spoke on the occasion and said the BJP leaders are not coming forward for an open debate on Congress and BJP governments. The pro-people projects of the Congress government has crashed BJP’s confidence, he said.
Meanwhile, Venugopal warned that he would file defamation cases against anybody who accuses him baselessly. Speaking to news persons at Belagavi, Venugopal said cases are filed against him falsely on sexual harassment and misappropriation in solar panel case. "I have not committed any mistake. I have been fixed in these cases. Currently the cases are sub-judice. Anybody talking about it will invite defamation case," he warned.
Venugopal also said that the Congress Party will be elected with clear majority.
