Ticket for Prajval Revanna not decided yet says Deve Gowda

JD(S) supremo, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda who has been saying for a long time that only two members of his family will contest the elections has now stated that it is not yet decided if his grandson Prajwal Revanna would be given a ticket to contest from Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituency, reports Kannada Prabha.

Speaking at a press meet on Friday, he said even from that constituency there are 4 to 5 aspirants. Final decision would be taken after considering party leaders' opinion.

He said the media had reported that Prajwal Revanna is already in politics. He went to a meeting in Bengaluru along with some BBMP members and spoke about “bucket culture”. Kumaraswamy procured the video of the meeting and watched. He has not spoken anything that the media has reported, Gowda said.

Giving credit to Prajwal, Deve Gowda said he is capable of talking at Lok Sabha. He only needs experience and maturity. Earlier, it was being said that he would contest from Hunasuru and Beluru. Now, it is being said that he will contest from Rajarajeshwari Nagar. The party has not yet decided on it.

Meanwhile, at Mysuru, former MP H Vishwanath said Prajwal Revanna’s statement has caused embarrassment to the party.  MLA GT Deve Gowda also said that mistakes can be pardoned but not repeated mistakes.
