Here's where minister DK Shivakumar prays to bail him out of all his troubles!

Soon after the three-day Income Tax raid was done, the first thing that accused Karnataka minister DK Shivakumar did was visit the Kaadusiddeshwara Mutt seer Karibasaveshwara Deshikendra Shivayogishwara Swamiji and seek his blessings. 

After the raid, the minister quickly gave byte to a battery of mediapersons who were camping outside his house and hurriedly left to a "secret place" in a car along with his younger daughter Abharana, reportedly to Vijaynagar. It is reported that Shivakumar went to seek the blessings of the seer who was at auditor Nagaraju's residence in Vijayanagar. The minister sought his blessings to bail him out of this IT trouble, reports Kannada Prabha. 

According to Kannada Prabha, Shivakumar has been an ardent follower of 'Karisiddeshwara Ajja' diety at the Kaadusiddeshwara Mutt at Nonavinakere near Tiptur. The Kaadusiddeshwara mutt in Nonavinakere near Tiptur in Tumakuru district has a rich legacy of 800 years, and the minister has been an ardent devotee of the mutt, for nearly ten years now.

In fact, some years ago, minister Shivakumar had told a news channel that when his father was on his death bed, the same deity's seer had saved his father. The doctors - according to him - had told the minister's family that there was no chance of his father's survival and he had only four days to live. While the family began searching for land to bury their father, one of his acquaintances reportedly told him about the Kaadusiddeshwara mutt.

The minister then had visited the mutt and prayed for his father's long life. And his father 'miraculously' survived, despite the doctors' warnings. Since then, the minister has been visiting the mutt before taking any important decisions, it is reported. He also participates in various religious rituals every year during Shravana month.

This time too, the minister has sought the divine intervention to bail him out of the situation. The Shivayogishwara Swamiji who blessed the minister told Kannada Prabha that "He is one of the devotees of the mutt and I am sure, he will come out unscathed of this IT taint. Earlier too, he had visited the mutt when he did not get the cabinet post. After visiting here, Shivakumar was accommodated in the cabinet."

Even his mother, Gowramma too offered special prayers at Kabbalamma and Hole Anjaneya temples.
