A youth died, 2 others seriously injured when they were fleeing after snatching a mobile phone from a cab driver. However, the police are not clear if the cab hit the bike or Sultan Pasha fell off the bike. Dead youth’s father has lodged a complaint alleging he died when the cab hit him.
A youth died and 2 others seriously injured near Kimco Junction on Mysore Road on Wednesday, when they were fleeing after snatching a mobile phone from a cab driver, reported Kannada Prabha.

Sultan Pasha (19) of Guddadahalli died and his friends Suhail and Shahid are admitted to a hospital. It is said that Sultan Pasha threatened and snatched the mobile phone of a cab driver and was fleeing when he met with an accident.
The cab driver Gurappa has lodged a complaint to this effect and said that the 3 threatened him, snatched his mobile phone and were riding away on bike. The cab driver chased them when the accident occurred. However, the police are not clear if the cab hit the bike or Sultan Pasha fell off the bike.
On the other hand, Aslam Pasha, father of Sultan Pasha, has lodged a complaint with Byatarayanapura traffic police that, stating Sultan Pasha was hit by Gurappa’s Indica car and died and requested to take legal action against him. The police said a case of unnatural death under Section 304(a) has been booked and investigations are on.
Cab driver in his complaint to Chandra Layout police station has stated that near Gangondanahalli petrol bunk, at around 4.30 pm, he was filling petrol and the 3 approached him and asked to use his phone saying their mobile was not working. Gurappa refused to give his mobile to them. When Gurappa took his bike out of the petrol bunk the 3 stopped the car and attacked him with a knife and snatched his mobile and rode away.
The injured are not in a position to talk. Hence the police are not clear about this incident.
