FollowThe CCB police have arrested a director of Kannada movie 'Style Raja' and three more for giving Supari to kill a person in connection with financial dispute, reports Kannada Prabha.
Based on a complaint by one Ashok, Harish, director of 'Style Raja' and rowdy sheeters Satish Kumar, Suresh and Rajashekhar have been arrested, said CCB officials. The film was produced by Ramesh in which Chikkanna had acted. The film did not do well in box office. Ramesh’s relative one Uma had given a loan of Rs 3.50 lakh to Ramesh and Harish for investing in the film. Uma then asked Ramesh to repay the loan. He replied that since the film failed to recover even the cost, he asked her to take it from director Harish. When she asked Harish to repay the loan, he flatly refused.
Them Uma approached one Ashok, who owns a tent house renting shop to help her in getting back the loan. Ashok approached Harish and asked him to return Uma’s money. The meeting ended in a fight between Ashok and Harish and Ashok had beaten Harish. Enraged by this Harish planned to kill Ashok. He gave a Supari of Rs 3.5 lakh to Satish, Prakash, Suresh and Rajashekhar to kill Ashok. On July 28, Ashok was travelling in his car at Health Layout, Annapoorneshwari Nagar when the three attacked him with lethal weapons. Ashok managed to run and escape. He lodged a complaint with the police stating the attackers had threatened him for asking money from Harish.
Based on this CCB police took Harish into custody and on inquiry it was revealed that he gave Supari to kill Ashok, said CCB police, reports Kannada Prabha.
