State gets Rs 795 crore Rabi crop relief

The Central Government has released a total of Rs 795.54 crore to the State Government for Rabi crop failure relief, reported Kannada Prabha.

The State Government had submitted request for Rs 3000 crore as it had declared 160 taluks as drought hit in 2016 and the Rabi crops had totally failed. However, the Central Government had agreed to release only Rs 795.54 crores as relief.  The earlier Central Government had released a total of Rs 1782 crores for Rabi crop failure last time.
