Actor suicide: Loss in business led Dhruv Sharma to end his life, says father

Talented Sandalwood actor and one of the star cricketers of Karnataka Buldozers team, Dhruv Sharma died of multiple organ failure in Bengaluru on Tuesday morning. It is suspected that Dhruv had allegedly consumed poison over alleged losses that he suffered in his business.

According to Suvarna News, Dhruv was allegedly in depression over the losses and he had attempted to commit suicide on July 29. A complaint on this regard has been reportedly lodged by his father Suresh Sharma with Rajanukunte police.

However, Dhruv Sharma had floored the Sandalwood with his outstanding talent. Although Dhruv Sharma was congenitally impaired of speech and hearing abilities, Dhruv scripted history by becoming a lead actor in. He debuted with 'Snehanjali' movie and went on feature in 'Neenandre Nanagishta' and 'Tippaji Circle'. Not just that Sharma was very passionate about cricket too. He had played and represented India in the Dear Cricket World Cup in 2005. He was one of the star cricketers of Celebrity Cricket League, Karnataka Bulldozers led by Kichcha Sudeep.

Television channels reported that Dhruv collapsed in his house and he was rushed to Columbia Hospital near Hebbal. However, he breathed his last following multiple organ failure. Dhruv leaves behind his parents, wife and two daughters, reports The Times of India.

In fact, Dhruv had never let his disabilities come in his way of excelling in his life. Son of businessman Suresh Sharma, Dhruv Sharma had to leave his college midway as he could not follow the lecturers. But he was not the one to be demotivated. Even when he dabbled in acting. Many raised eyebrows, when he expressed his wish to act even his father. According to a report in the Times of India, his father had joked about it. But his determination changed everything.

Dhruv Sharma debuted in 'Snehanjali' where he lip-synced dialogues and songs with much ease surprising everyone on the sets. With his good looks and sway to pull-off dialogues and even action scene, no one could actually believe he had hearing impairment. Dhruv's performance had floored late Parvathamma Rajkumar and Om Puri too.

Even on the cricketing field, he was one of the star cricketers of Karnataka Bulldozers who had pulled the team on many victory paths. Sandalwood and cricket fraternity is shocked by the untimely demise of Dhruv Sharma who was an epitome of undying spirit and his fans will continue to remember him in that way.
