Robert Vadra encroached government property worth Rs 850 cr in Bengaluru

Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress Party president Sonia Gandhi, is a partner in DLF real estate developer, constructing a huge township off Bannerghatta Road, at Begur, by encroaching upon government land worth Rs 850 crores, alleged BJP spokesperson N R Ramesh. He has lodged a complaint in this regard to Bengaluru Metropolitan Task Force and ACMM Court.

Government land consisting A Kharab, B Kharab, Reserve Forest area, Gomal, cremation ground and groves have been encroached upon. N R Ramesh urged for the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to handover the investigation of this case to High Level Commission, CBI or CID.

Speaking at a press meet on Saturday, he released documents of 2350 pages that contained all details of project plan sanction by BDA, mutation register by DC and Bengaluru South tahsildar office, and illegal khatha amalgamation by BBMP officials.

DLF has constructed a huge apartment complex Westend Heights consisting 18 floors in a sprawling 60.04 acres of land. The apartment complex has provision to park 2345 cars.  Fake documents have been created for 19.37 acres of government land, 3.26 acres of KIADB land, 1.26 acres of groves, 1.17 acres of reserve forest, 1.25 acres of cremation ground and have been encroached upon worth Rs 850 crores.  The 19.37 acres government land worth Rs 500 -600 crore have been registered in the names of K Kiran and H R Ravichandra, Ramesh alleged.

The Bannerghatta real estate is a gold mine, being home to 3758 IT companies, over 90 BT companies and over 1200 BPOs.  Grabbing a golden opportunity, DLF, in which Robert Vadra is a partner, has even closed down the Rajakaluve connecting historical Begur lake to Hulimavu lake.

The documents have already been submitted to the DC, BMTF, ACB, Implementation Directorate and a special Commission headed by Justice S N Dhingra, he said. Bureaucrat Chikkarayappa, whose residence was raided by income tax officials, is also a partner in DLF scam.

He has widened the 30 ft road to 60 feet to get good price for DLF apartments, causing hundreds of crores loss to BBMP.  Ramesh alleged that Chikkarayappa had been bribed by the realtor.
