23-year-old wife allegedly committed suicide over Rs 10, say reports from Belagavi.
Mahadevi was married to Ashok, three years ago. They were in love and decided to get married in 2014. The couple was residing at Malaprabha in Belagavi. On the day of rakhi festival, Mahadevi is supposed to have asked Ashok for Rs 10 to buy Rakhi for her brother. But the husband did not give her any money.
There is no proof of fight between the couple. Ashok left the house after saying to wife. When he returned, he found her hanging, dead.
The reason is told as the wife was dejected as the husband did not even give her money to tied rakhi to her brother, reported Public TV
Currently, a case in this regard has been filed at Shahapur Police Station. Ashok has been taken into custody under the charge of attempt to murder and are interrogating him.
