Avoid parking on these roads in Bengaluru today

  • President Ramanath Kovind is on a two-day visit to Bengaluru
  • Bengaluru police have asked vehicle users not to park their vehicles on these stretches
  • Similar traffic curbs are expected on Wednesday, too

In view of President Ramanath Kovind's first visit to the City (since he assumed office), Bengaluru police have banned parking of vehicles on certain stretches where the President's convoy is expected to ply on both the days. Vehicle users have been asked not to park their vehicles on the following stretches, lest they face action.

Here are the stretches where parking of the vehicles is banned on either side:

On Tuesday  from 2.30 pm to 6 pm: HAL Airport-Airport Umbrealla-Left Turn-Old Airport Road-Rajeshwari Murugesh Palya Junction-ISRO Junction-Manipal Hospital Junction-Indiranagar 100ft Road Junction-Domlur-DB Road Junction-ASC Centre-Right turn-Trinity Church Circle-left turn-MG Road-Webs Junction-right turn-Manipal Centre junction-Left turn-Cubbon Road-KR Road junction-BRV junction-Left turn-Central Street-Anil Kumble Circle-Right turn-MG road-Queens Circle-Left turn-Kasturba Road-Siddalingaiah Circle-Mallya hospital Road-RRMR junction-Right turn-RRMR Road-Hudson Circle-NR Square-police corner-right turn-Hudson Circle-Kasturba Road-Siddalingaiah Circle-Kasturba Road-Queens Circle-Queens Road-CTO circle-Left turn-Rajbhavan Road-Police Thimmaiah Circle and towards Raj Bhavan.

4 pm to 8 pm

Raj Bhavan Junction-LH road-Basaveshwara Circle-Right turn-Palace Road-Old High Grounds PS Junction-Left Turn-T Chowdiah Road-Windsor Manor Junction-BDA Up Ramp-PH Galli-Cauvery Junction-Ramanamaharshi Road-Mehkri Circle Service Road-Left Turn - Sir CV Raman Road-Sadashivanagar Police Station Junction-BHEL Service Road-Right turn-BHEL Circle and on to IISc.

On October 24, President is expected to pay visit to the IISc, Bengaluru laboratory and also have a round-table discussion with scientists.  On October 25, President will inaugurate the diamond jubilee celebration of Vidhana Soudha. He will also address both the Houses.
